Tamegroute bowl light green/ curry - PITE.
Beautiful curry colored Tamegroute bowl from the Draa Valley in southern Morocco.
Moroccan ceramics are handmade unique products with a rustic look. This means that there can be variations in shape and color, which is what makes them authentic and charming.
Tamegroute ceramics in particular are known for their visible nicks and small imperfections, making them a true work of art with a character all their own. No two are alike. Designs may therefore vary and differ slightly in color and expression from the image shown.
The bowl can be used for snacks, fruit and salads, or as an explicit piece of art in the home.
Dimensions: 23 cm in diameter and about 8 cm in depth.
Ceramics are treated more gently than stoneware, which is why we do not recommend dishwashers.
To preserve the ceramics for as long as possible, we recommend washing by hand.
Can be used for food.
Tamegroute is a small village in the Draa Valley in southern Morocco. This is where the Tamegroute pottery process starts, by digging up the clay.
The mixture of naturally occurring copper and clay from the Draa River is what gives Tamegroute ceramics their distinctive green color.
The unique hand glazing technique has been passed down through generations and each piece is handmade and truly unique.
In the kilns, the pieces are stacked together, creating small scars, which is what the stoneware is known for. It's the green hues and unfinished raw expression.
Each piece has its own shape and glaze, they are all different and have their own history. This makes them particularly authentic and charming.
