The baskets are hand woven in rattan straw with fine cotton stitching in black and gold.
RIET is ideal for storing scarves, belts, jewelry, yarn or other trinkets. They look great in any room and add playfulness and charm to your decor.

To keep the inside of the basket clean for as long as possible, you can use an inner cover and insert it.
RIET baskets are handmade in Marrakech, which specializes in wicker and has done so for generations.
They are woven from rattan straw, which is made from a tropical climbing palm native to Australia, Asia and Africa.
As a material, rattan is very flexible and strong. It is similar to bamboo, but somewhat more durable than bamboo. That's why rattan is often used in the production of everything from baskets and trays to larger furniture.
Like all other wicker at Maroskan, RIET is timeless and represents durability and sustainability. Not least, rattan is environmentally friendly as it is 100 % biodegradable.
